Our goals here at the Barnyard are to:

Educate:

We realize that we are Political Hacks, Policy Wonks and News Nerds and that most of you, well, aren’t. That makes us the weird ones. But we’re OK with that. We try to keep out ear to the ground for obscure news that will affect us all and make sure you are informed. Also, we try to take the confusion out of controversial matters as the two sides of political debate often cloud the water to keep their own shaky ground obscured.

Entertain:

What good is it to try to teach folks if their bored to tears? We make a constant attempt to keep humor in our articles here. Some times the passion of a topic trumps these humor attempts, but we are always attempting to keep a smile on your beak, err, face.

Inspire:

Collecting dust on the fringes of the Blogsphere is NOT one of our goals. Our nation and our culture are being purposefully attacked and we are mounting a purposeful defense. If we are the only ones writing our senators not much is being accomplished. We will not provide form letters, we wish for you to think for yourself, but it is our goal to challenge you to speak out in the same manor we here at the Barnyard are speaking out.
